Yamaichi City is a settlement on the Forest Moon of Pan Gu. Margaret Dale travelled here in search of her mother, Marion Dale.
This city is considered to be the center of science and research in the Sun Systems. It was originally founded as a mining colony, and suffers from heavy pollution. Many people lost their jobs when the mines and factories began to shut down. There is no monorail in the city, and the locals mostly use personal vehicles or shishas to get around.
The Sun Wardens are the local law enforcement service. The city has its share of crime and corruption, although the interplanetary cartels never really established a foothold there.
Yamaichi was named "Galactic City of Science" for two years running.
