Xavier Delacour is a cadet at the Pilgrim Space Academy.
He is the son of Victor and Ilsa Delacour. Being the son of the admiral put a lot of pressure on him, and he worried a lot about his grades.
In 2216, he lost both of his parents when the Starship Ilsa was destroyed by Captain Vance. They were buried near the academy.
