Viper was a member of a criminal gang called The Serpents in Hope City.
Sabina White ran into him at Strata Space Port, where he gave her a package to sneak into a restricted hangar bay. In return, he offered her false starship registration documents. The package turned out to be a bomb, which exploded shortly after Sabina had planted it there.
It was later revealed that Viper was an informant who was being blackmailed by a government employee named Miss Pique. He planned the bombing as a way to get rid of her, and then attempted to pin the blame on a rival gang named The Valley Crew.
He was shot and killed by his fellow gang member Lora after Gail Pilgrim exposed the fact that he was behind the bombing.
